General Questions

October 30 - November 1, 2022 | Chicago, IL | generalassembly.org
The conference will be held at the Hilton Chicago (720 S. Michigan).

The JFNA General Assembly is the annual gathering of the Jewish Federation system and its North American and global partners.

For the first time in three years, leadership from across the North American Jewish community will come together, in person, to gather and explore the complex issues facing our communities.

The Changemakers experience at the General Assembly is excited to offer two opportunities - one for members of the Changemakers Network (those who have participated in a Changemakers Fellowship experience in the past), and a Fellowship intensive experience for undergrads, partnering with campus Hillels.
Network members can apply to continue their learning from the virtual Changemakers intensive they previously experienced. Undergraduate students should reach out to their Hillel to learn more!

JFNA's General Assembly is catered towards Federation and Jewish communal professionals and lay leaders from across North America. We are excited to offer the opportunity for our Changemakers to participate alongside this elite group of communal leaders.

The General Assembly is an invite-only experience, you must be pre-selected by the Changemakers Team or your Hillel.

To be pre-selected as a Network member, click here to submit an application. Selected candidates will be invited to interview with a member of the Changemakers team. If granted a spot to the General Assembly, you will then be given instructions to register and book travel.

To be pre-selected as an undergraduate, please reach out to your Hillel.

About the Program

Changemakers covers three key themes:

1. Personal Leadership Development: What do I need to know about myself to succeed
2. Jewish Community: What does it mean to be Jewish in our ever-changing and diverse landscape?
3. Taking Action: How can I contribute meaningfully and make change around the issues I care about most?

On the global stage:
From the evolving challenges and geopolitical impact of the war in Ukraine to rising global anti-Zionism and antisemitism. What can we do as a united Jewish system to address the range of complex and growing security and humanitarian issues that impact the Jewish community worldwide?

On the domestic stage:
From diversity and inclusion to mental health to communal migration. From Israel education to affordability and poverty to securing Jewish life in an era of violent antisemitism. At a time of so much complexity, how will we work together to truly advance our goal of building flourishing Jewish communities in the year to come?

Throughout the conference their will be exclusive Changemaker experiences to learn and connect with other fellows and network members.

Your ticket to the GA includes access to all speakers, sessions, Kosher meals, and exclusive Changemakers programming.
